HAI ROBOTICS Partners with Tompkins Robotics

By automating the removal and replacement of order containers, the xChange robot has created a new robotic application to automate the exit process on a unit sortation order fulfillment system. To get more news about Tompkins Robotics GRS, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.

In a typical order fulfillment process, a unit sorter system has workers take the items out of an accumulation chute or mixed order destination, place the units into unique order containers and then place the containers on a takeaway conveyor.

Now, for the first time ever, a fully automated unit sortation system can be paired with an autonomous container removal system, further reducing the costs of distribution in a fulfillment center.

When combined with Tompkins Robotics’ end to end fulfillment capabilities, including goods to person inventory delivery, pick and place induction robotics, tSort™ and the new tote exchange system we can now provide major labor savings, better fulfillment control, and the industries quickest return on investment.
Mike Futch, President and CEO of Tompkins Robotics shared, “We are proud to unveil this breakthrough in automation technology with our partner, HAI ROBOTICS. The xChange robot and tSort system will be shown at our Modex booth and should generate quite an interest by demonstrating how we solved the final puzzle piece of automated order fulfillment.”

Tompkins Robotics’ xChange system is based on the HAIPICK A3, fork-lifting ACR (autonomous case-handling robot) which adopts fork-lifting picking technology and an 8-layer ultra-high storage design. The system has been created to remove completed orders / full containers and replace them with empty containers.

xChange supports multi-form and multi-size goods sortation to order consolidation points to include totes, bins, corrugate cartons, small gaylords, bags, etc. It has the functions of autonomous navigation, active obstacle avoidance, and automatic charging. The flexibility of the A3 makes it the perfect fit with tSort to deliver the xChange solution.

Brian Reinhart, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of HAI ROBOTICS U.S. said, "HAI ROBOTICS and Tompkins have a natural fit within the warehouse. The combination of both organizations products and services allow us to fill gaps around flexibility, speed, and productivity. We're very excited to exhibit our equipment in conjunction with the Tompkins system at Modex 2022, introducing the industry to our joint capabilities."
HAI ROBOTICS, a trailblazer of Autonomous Case-handling Robot (ACR) System, is committed to providing efficient, intelligent, flexible, and customized warehouse automation solutions through robotics technology and AI algorithms. It aims to create value for each factory and logistics warehouse.

The HAIPICK ACR system, independently developed in 2015, is the world's first of its kind.

Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Shenzhen, China, HAI ROBOTICS has set up five subsidiaries in Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Singapore, the United States, and the Netherlands, serving customers from more than 30 countries and regions.

With more than 1,400 team members, the company has acquired over 600 global patents for core intellectual properties involving positioning, robot control, and warehouse management.
