Qin Weiguo leads delegation on successful economic and trade

While in Hong Kong, the delegation visited renowned enterprises such as China Resources (Hong Kong), Hong Kong CLP, Veolia and Suez. They learnt about advanced technologies and successful cases in the fields of comprehensive utilisation and development of green energy and hazardous waste treatment. The delegation reached a consensus on cooperation intentions, which increased the confidence and willingness of Hong Kong entrepreneurs to invest and increase capital. In Germany, the delegation visited the German-Chinese Economic Federation and invited business people to events such as the Food Expo, the Aluminium-based Industry Forum and the New Energy Battery Materials and Functional Chemical Industry Development Conference.
Their aim was to understand the characteristics of overseas investment by German-backed companies during the energy crisis and to attract more companies to Huaihe for business opportunities. The delegation also learned advanced management experience from companies such as Orion Engineering Carbon Group, BASF Group and Unaide Group, which strengthened the investment confidence of German enterprises in Huaihe. In Norway, the delegation discussed project promotion and safety management cooperation with senior executives of Yara International Group and Jescom. They promoted the progress of the second phase of the Huaihe River investment projects and negotiated the establishment of fertiliser testing bases and safety management testing cooperation bases. The delegation also met with the Norwegian Enterprise Association and the Norway-China Chamber of Commerce. They publicised the achievements of Huaibei's transformation and development and attracted trade cooperation with Norwegian and European companies. The delegation aimed to attract investment in green food, information technology, intelligent manufacturing and biotechnology. As a result, a preliminary agreement was reached to establish a friendly exchange city relationship.
